Nagoya Travel Guide
Nagoya is the capital and biggest city of Aichi Prefecture, one of the major commercial center in Japan. Nagoya is known as a home of automakers like Toyota and its subsidiaries. It takes two hours by Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo.
Getting in
Most International direct flights and many domestic flights from other major international airports like Narita and Kansai lands at the Chubu Centrair International Airport which was built on artificial island in 2005. There are a few hotels in the airport area. It takes about a half hour by Meitestu Airport Line to go to central Nagoya whereby there are several international hotels.
Sightseeing
Nagoya Castle; A landmark of Nagoya with the two golden carp (Kin No Shachi Hoko) on the roof. which was constructed in 1600's. The original castle used to be a home of Nobunaga Oda, a very popular shogun (warlord). The original castle was burned down as a result of World War II and the current castle was built as a replica of the original. The admission fee is ¥500 and free for junior high school students or younger. If you are great fan of Nobunaga Oda, you should definitely feel a history of him.

Toyota Automobile Museum; Toyota presents large collection of cars not only made by Toyota, but also other Japanese, American and European cars. There are many classic cars that are worth priceless. The admission fee is ¥1,000 for adults, ¥600 for high school and junior high school students and ¥400 for elementary school students. It may not be a perfect dating spot, but guys who love cars will certainly enjoy a line of so many cool cars.

Sakae; Sakae is the largest shopping and night life area in Nagoya. There are many restaurants for Nagoya's special food such as Tenmusu and Misokatsu. Sakae is also known as men's paradise area that attracts lots of guys with men's fantasy.

Ise Shrine- One of the most famous Japanese shinto shrine located in Ise city, Mie prefecture. The Sun Goddess is enshrined at the Ise. It takes 1hour 20 minutes from Nagoya by Kintetsu Line.
Hida Takayama -A historical castle town located at the northern part of Gifu Prefecture. Hida Takayama is famous for the festival and it is one of the three biggest festivals in Japan. It takes 2hour 10 minutes from Nagoya by JR Takayama Line.
